Perform professional work in support of scientific research using technical knowledge of software, software development, networking, and/or hardware in a complex computing environment. The Computational Biologist II works in support of scientific research using technical knowledge of software, software development, networking, and/or hardware in a complex computing environment. They will be a subject matter expert in multiple areas of computing technology and will have specific knowledge of molecular biology and genetics. They will work collaboratively with the Principal Investigator ("PI") to determine the most suitable computational methods and tools to analyze large-scale biological data sets. Job Duties: Analyzes data in the Levi laboratory across multiple projects Generates data using computational skills and prepares said data for presentation and publication on a demanding schedule. Advises and assists users and other personnel in analyzing, defining and resolving computational problems. Performs other duties as assigned.
