About The Position

This role of Compressor Mechanic requires a highly skilled large-horsepower mechanic with hands-on expertise in Caterpillar 3600 and 3500 series engines and Ariel compressors. The Compressor Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing critical compression and engine equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a large-horsepower mechanic.
• High School Diploma Required
• Hands-on experience with Caterpillar 3600 and 3500 engines.
• Training and experience working with Ariel compressors.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Commitment to safety and operational excellence.
• Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test, agility and fit for duty.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on large-horsepower equipment, including CAT 3600 and 3500 engines.
• Service and support Ariel compressors, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement corrective actions efficiently.
• Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and overhauls as required.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Document maintenance activities and equipment performance accurately.
• Work collaboratively with operations and engineering teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
