We are currently seeking a Compression Operator for our busy manufacturing facility in Amityville, New York.

Requirements

A minimum of a HS/ GED is required for Compression Operators Level I
0 -1 year experience in Manufacturing environment is required - Level I
Required to read, write and communicate in English.
Flexible to work extended hours and weekends when required.
Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing work priorities.
High energy level and organizational skills.
Knowledge of safety, cGMP and SOP.
Standing, bending, climbing, lifting, pushing and walking short distances for most of the day.
Must be able to lift 10-50 lbs

Responsibilities

Learn to clean, set up, break down and operate tablet presses, metal detectors, de-dusters, use of scales and hardness/thickness testers.
Make sure all equipment to be cleaned has lockout tag out according to the Safety SOP.
Perform "A" and "B" cleaning of the tablet presses, de-dusters, metal detection units and rooms.
"A" cleaning is performed within an eight to sixteen hour time frame depending on the product characteristics prior to cleaning or as required by SOP, "B" cleaning takes one to six hour time frame and performed after each batch of the same product or non-allergen materials.
Perform and verify cleaning of the Tablet Press, Metal Detectors, De-dusters, and Room.
Records entry of the start and end of the cleaning performed in the logbooks.
Sets Up the tablet press according to the specified tooling required on the Master Manufacturing Record.
Verify the room release status before starting the batch for operation.
