About The Position

The Comprehensive Services Coordinator facilitates collaboration between Early Head Start, Head Start and Home-Based programs to ensure that comprehensive care and support is provided for children and their families. Responsible for coordination and administrative support for the multiple Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) including monthly team and individual meetings across all center-based services. DUTIES SUMMARY The Comprehensive Services Coordinator facilitates collaboration between Early Head Start, Head Start and Home-Based programs to ensure that comprehensive care and support is provided for children and their families. Responsible for coordination and administrative support for the multiple Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) including monthly team and individual meetings across all center-based services. ESSENTIAL DUTIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Schedules regular meetings, sends reminders, sets agendas, and leads discussions to review child progress, address concerns, and develop individualized plans. Manages logistics, including calendar invites, meeting links, room reservations, and distribution of ChildPlus reports and necessary documentation. Monitors reports to identify children needing discussion, ensures accurate data entry, and oversees data tracking for MDT meetings. Tracks and assesses the impact of interventions, making adjustments as needed to support children's developmental progress. Works with content area representatives to confirm that appropriate documentation is recorded in ChildPlus and that services are being delivered. Identifies training needs, conducts annual MDT training, and orients new team members. Guides discussions, fosters consensus, and redirects conversations as needed to maintain focus and decision-making effectiveness. Organizes monthly monitoring meetings with Managers to review team engagement and preparedness. Upholds HIPAA regulations and CII policies to protect the privacy of children and families. ADDITIONAL DUTIES Maintains up-to-date records. Provides training workshops on selected topics as needed. Other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working with children ages 0-5.
  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, social work, human services from a four-year university required.
  • Understanding of typical developmental milestones and potential developmental delays, social and emotional and behavioral needs in young children.
  • Knowledge of child developmental screening tools, assessments, and techniques in child observations.
  • Stays up to date with agency P&P, OHS, LACOE, and GIMS performance standards
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team with a willingness to appreciate and value different points of view.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Possesses a valid driver's license and state-required auto insurance or reliable transportation depending on business needs.
  • Required to travel extensively (> 50% of the time).
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Sensitivity to service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
  • Must have intermediate knowledge of computer programs in a Windows environment, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
