About The Position

Ready to bring the burn (and the joy) to our members? The YMCA of Middle Tennessee is looking for a Comprehensive Pilates Instructor who’s passionate about helping people move better, feel stronger, and love their wellness journey. If you light up a room, coach with care, and know your reformer work, we want you on our team! BONUS! Employees receive access to free CECs through our partner, ClubConnect, after 90 days of employment. Any CEC or certification courses within ClubConnect or outside of ClubConnect that have a cost are at the employee’s expense.

Requirements

• Minimum Age: 18
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent (college with wellness focus preferred)
• Certifications (before start of 1st shift): Pilates Comprehensive Apparatus certification (Classical preferred; contemporary considered with approval) CPR Pro/First Aid/AED within 30 days of hire
• Experience: Demonstrated experience teaching Pilates on apparatus in a group or private setting, with a strong ability to modify for individual needs

Responsibilities

• Lead high-quality Pilates reformer/apparatus classes that are safe, fun, and effective
• Create an energized, welcoming environment rooted in YMCA values
• Start/end classes on time, track attendance, and maintain equipment
• Build real relationships with members and support fellow instructors
• Stay current on certifications and fitness/Y trends
