The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences (DOVS) has built a world class reputation for compassionate patient care, cutting edge research, and hands-on training programs for resident physicians and clinical fellows. We are seeking candidates for a comprehensive ophthalmology position that will involve patient care, teaching and support/develop clinical research. The position is estimated at 80% for comprehensive ophthalmology and 20% for academic time. Clinical activities will include patient care at UW Health clinic locations. Teaching activities will involve medical students, residents, and fellows. Research activities may include participation in clinical trials and/or translational research. This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.
