About The Position
Carilion Clinic is seeking a full-time academic faculty member to join our Gastroenterology Division. This position is part of an award-winning, community-based network of seven hospitals and numerous primary and specialty physician practices located throughout Virginia, providing care for nearly one million Virginians. The clinic is dedicated to advancing healthcare through medical education and research, while also focusing on the health and well-being of the community. As a faculty member, you will be expected to teach medical students, residents, and fellows, contributing to the academic mission of the institution. The GI Division has a fellowship program that enrolls four fellows each year, providing a robust environment for teaching and mentorship. In addition to teaching responsibilities, there are exciting opportunities for clinical and translational research in collaboration with faculty at the Fralin Biomedical Institute at Virginia Tech Carilion and the main campus of Virginia Tech University, which is located nearby in Blacksburg. This role is ideal for individuals with strong clinical skills and a commitment to academic medicine, as you will be part of a team that is dedicated to improving patient care and advancing medical knowledge.
