About The Position

The Compounding Support Manager will be responsible for the overall Pre-Weigh function of Work Orders entering Compounding. This position will monitor and track the accuracy and timeliness of all related documentation and SAGE X3 ERP transactions related to all Pre-Weigh Work Orders, as well as cycle counts. This position will oversee, assign, and supervise the work of all Pre-Weigh associates. This position will work as part of a team, both internally with other departments and externally with customers, to accomplish company goals and metrics.

  • 7 or more years prior work experience in CPG manufacturing industry
  • Regularly sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to sit, balance, climb, stand, bend, squat, squeeze, kneel, turn, crouch, stoop repeatedly.
  • Physically able to lift 75 pounds and manipulate up to a 500-pound drum on a periodic basis.
  • Frequent exposure to varying temperatures, loud noises, heavy machinery, fumes, or airborne particles, wet floor, moving mechanical parts, electrical, chemicals, vibrations, and working on a high platform.
  • Frequent use of computer screen.
  • Must be able to discern differences in colors and shades.
  • Good eye/hand coordination
  • Ability to seize, hold, grasp, turn, or otherwise working with hand or hands.

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for all Pre-Weigh employees, including the Supervisor and Leads.
  • Interview, train, supervise, counsel, discipline, and evaluate Pre-Weigh/Sanitizer personnel.
  • Report any issues that they feel are a safety violation/hazard to the Director of Compounding Pre-Weigh, and Safety Committee.
  • Ensure employees are trained on Environmental Health and Safety policies, company policies, Good Manufacturing practices, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Work Instructions (WIs) through Compounding Pre-Weigh training sessions and/or a daily Compounding meeting.
  • Ensure all employees and the work environments are safe and sanitary by performing weekly and department-wide audits.
  • Report to Director of Compounding Pre-Weight/HR and investigate any employee work-related injuries.
  • Ensure, through inspection, all Pre-Weigh employees write accurately and legibly all required information on any batch sheets, formulas, logbooks, and any other documents assigned.
  • Maintain and update Pre-Weigh/Sanitizing SOPs and WIs, as well as co-author any new SOPs/WIs, as needed.
  • Work closely with the Quality in investigating batch errors and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Work with Production and Scheduling, as needed, to plan schedules and ensure that the production schedule is met.
  • Submit requisitions to Director of Compounding Pre-Weigh for supplies based on evaluating needs of Compounding and Pre-Weigh.
  • Ensure that pre-weighing of all batches is performed legibly and accurately to prevent weighing and material handling errors by reading and reviewing all batch procedures.
  • Provide a clean, safe, injury-free, working environment while ensuring production quality, on-time product delivery, identifying and employing cost-saving measures, and implementation of lean manufacturing methods through proper training of personnel and following up on all delegated tasks.
  • Work cooperatively with other supervisors.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance at work.
  • All other duties as assigned.
