About The Position
Option Care Health, Inc. is seeking a Compounding Technician I to join our team. As the largest independent home and alternate site infusion services provider in the United States, we are committed to elevating standards of care for patients with acute and chronic conditions. This position is crucial in ensuring safe, accurate, and smooth compounding operations under the direction of a licensed Pharmacist. The Compounding Technician I will spend at least 50% of their time in a clean room environment, compounding medications and assisting with the preparation and dispensing of medications and supplies in accordance with our policies, state regulations, and standards. This role requires a strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients. In this role, you will be responsible for performing basic pharmaceutical calculations to obtain correct dosages, accurately labeling and packaging medications, and participating in the assessment and reporting of medication-related incidents. Additionally, you will maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of pharmacy surfaces and equipment, ensuring that all tools and environments meet safety standards. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities, allowing you to focus on your technical skills and contributions to the pharmacy team. We are looking for candidates who have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of pharmacy technician experience. You must be licensed or registered as required by your state. Strong organizational skills and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications are essential for success in this role.
