About The Position

IU Health Centralized Compounding in Plainfield, IN is looking for a full-time pharmacist to help support compounding services across the entire IU Health system, serving both inpatient and outpatient care. This role is based in a closed-door, highly controlled environment where you’ll work with a mix of sterile and nonsterile preparations, including parenteral nutrition, anticipatory batch compounding, and repackaging.

In this position, you’ll play a key role in ensuring every product meets the highest standards of safety and quality. Your responsibilities will include overseeing day-to-day compounding activities, supervising technical staff, and developing and maintaining master formulations and compounding records. You’ll also help ensure that all practices align with current USP standards and IU Health policies, supporting reliable and consistent care for patients across the system.

Requirements

• Requires Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor's of Science in Pharmacy prior to 2006.
• Successful completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 or PGY2 residency may be required.
• Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience.
• Requires current Indiana Pharmacist license or eligibility for Indiana licensure as a Pharmacist.
• Board certification or other specialized training may be required.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required.
• May require travel to IU Health facilities.
• May require weekend rotations.
