About The Position

To safely and efficiently perform compound mixing utilizing mechanical equipment to mix and mill High Consistency and Liquid Silicone Rubber to desired customer specifications.

Requirements

Must have HS Diploma or GED
Must be able to pass respirator fit test
Must be able to sustain appropriate grooming daily for wearing respirator
Must be able to read/write/speak English

Prior computer and scanner experience

Responsibilities

Ensure that all safety equipment is readily available and that all guards are in place.
Read batch cards for directions, such as proper amounts, temperature controls, weights and sequences of raw materials, and any other additional instructions.
Safely operate multiple types of mixers, mills and press out equipment and other related equipment when required.
Maintain work area in clean and orderly manner, especially during shift transition.
Maintain written production records of batches mixed.
Learn and understand basic customer requirements and the equipment and materials used in extrusion, mixing, milling, packaging, and finishing.
Receive and relay vital communications with co-workers concerning daily production strategies.
As directed, carry out any other tasks of equal or less difficulty.
