A Compounding Operator I performs extrusion processes based on specifications provided by engineering. Following process sheets and supervisor instructions, they complete production tasks and inspect results to ensure they meet predetermined tolerances.

Requirements

2-4 years in a manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of computers to be able to: send and receive emails, use ADP/HR management systems
Ability to read and understand work instructions to be able to achieve production goals

Demonstrated experience on extrusion lines

Responsibilities

Sets up and operates a variety of machines used in the production of the company's materials
Responsible to meet the established production schedule for each assigned line of material
Will feed materials for processing, mix resin based on specified work instructions from engineering
Adjusting settings based on documented specifications and tolerances
Performing minor repairs and troubleshooting and pulling finished product from the line
Documentation of all line data sheets on individual assigned lines
Identify and report issues with quality and out of specification filament
Maintain a 5S work cell
Maintain other work in assigned areas during periods of downtime or extended product run time
Maintain all process certifications for packaging and extrusion
