About The Position

This highly visible position located at our Harrisonville, MO facility involves performing all facets of the mixing and blending process to ensure the fill of the production schedules and orders on a continual basis. The role requires ensuring all products meet customer specifications and performing defined routine maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience working in a manufacturing environment with compounding or batching experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate safety ownership by wearing required PPE, always following LOTO procedures, and safely handle raw materials and chemicals following SOPs.
  • Report near miss safety incidents and conditions as observed.
  • Learn and demonstrate excellence in quality through first-time right production and documentation on assigned areas.
  • Learn and consistently complete all Compounding Mechanic 1 responsibilities including but not limited to: Housekeeping and 5S at standard, utilizing all batching systems, raw material counts, receive and unload truck and railcars, and participation in Tier 1 meetings.
  • Learn and demonstrate daily participation in POKA.
  • Strive for knowledge and skill to positively solve equipment issues.
  • Work cooperatively with all resource support groups.
  • Adhere to the Downtime Escalation Matrix.
  • Learn and complete Autonomous Maintenance activities, such as CIL's, on assigned equipment and actively submit work requests (CLICKS) on items that cannot be completed on shift.
  • Engage in driving out losses using Lean methodology.
  • Suggest and participate in improvement events/teams.
  • Participate in Kaizen spotlight improvement projects at least quarterly.
  • Obtain a working knowledge of and be able to demonstrate all SOPs applicable to Compounding.
  • Operate a computer, checking email and processing scheduling/duties software daily.
  • Perform rail moves and submit a rail switch to order/release railcars.
  • Effectively communicate with supervisor and coworkers in compounding, ensuring any items of concern are communicated early to affected individuals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Benefits

  • Starting Hourly Wage - $30.95/hr
  • Full-time position with a 2-2-3 rotation from 6:00pm to 6:00am.
