About The Position

Summary: Sets up and operates mixing and filtering equipment for the blending and compounding of raw materials (e.g., chemicals, powders, liquids, etc.). Checks for consistency and quality using specialized equipment. Follows sanitation and safety policies and procedures when cleaning machinery and handling chemicals. The role could be performed by an employee with a minimum of a high school education or equivalent and four years of relevant experience. Essential Duties: Set up and operate all blending equipment to meet the Manufacturing Order (MO) instructions per the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Process works orders efficiently and accurately according to the Manufacturing Order (MO) instructions and the daily production schedule. Create production batch samples of completed blends to facilitate Quality Assurance testing requirements. Prepare chemical solutions according to the formulas. Calculate quantities. Weigh, verify, document, and complete batches. Properly disassemble & reassemble equipment for cleaning, following all safety guidelines. Understand all part numbers, lot numbers, and product descriptions as they relate to the Manufacturing Order (MO). Update and maintain all required logs and paperwork within the department (i.e., equipment uses, cleaning logs, Manufacturing Order (MO) accurately. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment to ensure efficiency, employee safety, and product integrity. Record all formulations, dip sequences and speeds, chemical and physical property results, and subjective observations throughout the development process. Utilize auxiliary equipment like drum mixers, paddle mixers, floor scales, hoses, flow meters, pumps, and pallet scales during the compounding process. Accurately document all aspects of the formulation in production batch records in accordance with GDP. Provide technical updates to project leadership for all ongoing work assignments. Communicate equipment status and operational needs to operations management. Ensure cGMP and safety compliance( OSHA/EPA regulations) Ensure company safety requirements are maintained. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in industrial material handling.
  • Must be certified to operate a forklift when applicable.
  • Must be certified to operate a clamp truck when applicable.
  • Strong attention to detail, precision, and focus on all tasks assigned.
  • Willingness to change direction and focus promptly to meet shifting organizational and business demands.
  • Individuals are required to wear appropriate PPE and interpret documentation containing safety guidance.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team to create and contribute to an environment that values people and encourages trust, teamwork, and open communication.
  • Ability to effectively manage oneself, demonstrate integrity, be productive under pressure, and achieve developmental goals.
  • Must be able to read with comprehension and interpret department policies and procedures.

  • Might work with hazardous chemicals.
  • Follow all safety precautions, including review of GHS.
  • All of the following apply: OSHA Lockout / Tagout Compliance Training completion Respiratory protection program. Must be able to get medical for respiratory protection.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of handling water-based polymer materials and compounding processes, acquired through experience or education, is preferred.
  • Continuously demonstrate a strong and efficient performance in all aspects of compounding, mixing, dipping, process measurements, and testing activities.
  • Certified forklift or Boom lift operator preferred.
