Composites Fabrication Manufacturing Engineer (Associate or Experienced) Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Composites Manufacturing Engineer for Phantom Works located in Berkeley, MO . Position Overview: As a Composites Manufacturing Engineer, you will support the development and implementation of production methodologies and tooling for composite aircraft parts and assemblies. You will collaborate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines, ensuring efficient manufacturing processes that meet stringent quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • Level 2: 2+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors OR and equivalent combination of work-related experience and technical education.

Nice To Haves

  • Level 3: 5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors OR and equivalent combination of work-related experience and technical education.
  • Experience supporting stabilization and improvement efforts in a manufacturing setting

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement manufacturing processes, plans, and tooling methodologies for composite aircraft parts and assemblies.
  • Collaborate with IPTs to support the integration of technical solutions and ensure manufacturability of designs.
  • Investigate and resolve technical problems related to composite manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in the implementation of Lean principles to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Resolve technical issues that significantly impact performance, cost, or schedule.
  • Conduct data analysis to drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with internal customers and stakeholders to align on product development and manufacturing goals.
  • Perform producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capabilities meet requirements.
  • Maintain a focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction throughout all manufacturing processes.
