About The Position

As a Composite Repair Technician at QT Aerospace, LLC, you will be responsible for performing repairs on aircraft parts and components using various composite bonding methods. This role involves working with materials in a clean room environment and utilizing an autoclave for curing processes. The position requires adherence to safety procedures and documentation of all work performed, contributing to the overall airworthiness of aircraft.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend standard English.
  • General mechanical aptitude and ability to follow instructions.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in aviation records management, quality assurance, and compliance in a 145 Repair Station preferred.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, specifications, technical manuals, and test equipment procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • CORRIDOR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform hot and cold bond repairs per Aircraft SRM, EAs, and other approved documentation with direct supervision.
  • Identify damaged components using visual or tapping methods under supervision.
  • Learn proper repair techniques and materials required for composite repairs.
  • Sand, trim, prime, and fit repairs to parts as instructed.
  • Follow repair sequences and complete necessary forms accurately.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and comply with all safety procedures.
  • Document all work accomplished on a daily basis.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
