Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master's degree in engineering required.
  • Good working skills with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, VBA is a plus).
  • Heavy familiarity with composite systems and / or pipe systems - knowledge in both is ideal.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively on a technical level to other industry engineers and field personnel.
  • Advanced Excel skills for engineering calculations and design tools.
  • Ability to analyze and translate customer data into design package inputs.
  • Skilled in understanding technical reports, drawings, and documentation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities for complex defects.
  • Effective collaboration with sales, operations, and customers.
  • Must be willing and able to travel locally within driving distance of Houston.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the regional design engineer for composite repair systems, overseeing all design, analysis, and project-specific engineering.
  • Supports emergency customer requests as part of a group with typical turn-around within 2-4 hours.
  • Support sales and marketing teams through technical guidance, proposal development, and client interface.
  • Provide technical training and educational support to customers, partners, and internal staff throughout North and South America.
  • Represent the company in technical discussions with clients, regulators, and industry groups across the region.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable international standards (e.g., ASME PCC-2, ISO 24817) and internal QA/QC processes.
  • Collaborate with global engineering and R&D teams to communicate regional needs and support new product development.
  • Develop and localize technical content including white papers, marketing materials, and training documentation
  • Mentor and provide technical oversight to local engineering & sales as needed.
