Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master's degree in engineering required.
- Good working skills with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, VBA is a plus).
- Heavy familiarity with composite systems and / or pipe systems - knowledge in both is ideal.
- Must be able to communicate effectively on a technical level to other industry engineers and field personnel.
- Advanced Excel skills for engineering calculations and design tools.
- Ability to analyze and translate customer data into design package inputs.
- Skilled in understanding technical reports, drawings, and documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities for complex defects.
- Effective collaboration with sales, operations, and customers.
- Must be willing and able to travel locally within driving distance of Houston.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the regional design engineer for composite repair systems, overseeing all design, analysis, and project-specific engineering.
- Supports emergency customer requests as part of a group with typical turn-around within 2-4 hours.
- Support sales and marketing teams through technical guidance, proposal development, and client interface.
- Provide technical training and educational support to customers, partners, and internal staff throughout North and South America.
- Represent the company in technical discussions with clients, regulators, and industry groups across the region.
- Ensure compliance with applicable international standards (e.g., ASME PCC-2, ISO 24817) and internal QA/QC processes.
- Collaborate with global engineering and R&D teams to communicate regional needs and support new product development.
- Develop and localize technical content including white papers, marketing materials, and training documentation
- Mentor and provide technical oversight to local engineering & sales as needed.
