The Composite Materials Staff Engineer demonstrates accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise, be involved in long-term planning and contribute to the overall business strategy. This role is embedded in a team of Composite Material Application Engineers focused on providing experience and mentorship for the team to operate efficiently as possible to deliver on the needs of the business. Additionally, a staff engineer is expected to make significant contributions to the business and industry in their respective area(s) of expertise. Typical programs involve material replacement and qualification in support of discontinued composite materials; manufacturing support to achieve quality and delivery goals; root cause and correct action assessments for processes failing to meet our safety, quality, or delivery targets; and documentation of standard work to streamline work on the team.
