About The Position

Eaton’s IS AER MSD division is currently seeking a Composite Assembler I - 2nd Shift. The Composite Assembler I works directly and supports; the building and creation of hardware that enables the safety of our warfighters, Firefighters and First responders to save lives, aircraft to land, rockets to launch, satellites to orbit the earth and astronauts to perform research.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience OR 1 year of military experience

Nice To Haves

  • HS Diploma or Associates Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technology
  • Assembly or Test experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Cellular Manufacturing, One Piece Flow, and Continuous Improvement concepts
  • Previous experience with various types of industrial machinery equipment and tools such as lathe’s, curing ovens, thermal and/or life cycling machines, sanding and industrial painting tools, as well as standard hand tools are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare pressure vessel liners for production through a cleaning and taping process
  • Paint vessel liners
  • Sand dome and attach tail pin
  • Prepare order according to job traveler (schedule)
  • Align bottles on rack for winders
  • Ensuring that Environmental, Health, and Safety are included as part of everyday activities.
  • Complying with all work and process instructions.
  • Participating in 5S cell efforts and continuous improvement.
  • Identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Lifting up to and including 50 pounds.
  • Utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for each task associated with the job.
  • Working safely and reporting all near misses, illnesses, and injuries following established procedures.
  • Completing and maintaining their training to meet the required level of certified elements in their position.
  • Properly managing the traceability of components to ensure accuracy.
