About The Position

Yancey Bros. Co. has an opening for a Component Rebuild Technician. This position will provide power train component repairs, rebuilds, troubleshooting, and testing.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent
• Candidates must have a vocation/technical school certificate, or a minimum of 3 years of work experience in a heavy equipment shop.
• Must be able to read and understand manuals, such as D&A, special instructions, and service letters.
• Also, must have general PC operation skills.
• Mechanical aptitude
• Organized and safely work with caustic materials.
• Basic computer skills
• Be able to read and follow service material instructions and quotes, and write clear and concise work orders.
• The ability to multitask and problem solve are essential to this position as well.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and assemble components.
• Clean and inspect components.
• Evaluate re-usability of component parts.
• Perform failure analysis based on failed parts, SOS reports, and Machine operation.
• Write service reports once jobs are completed
• Keep work area clean throughout process
• Participate in required safety program, and work in a safe manner
• Additional duties as assigned by manager
