About The Position
The Component Manufacturing Technician prepares components from whole blood collections.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, required
Nice To Haves
- Manufacturing experience, preferred
- Experience working in a laboratory or the healthcare industry, preferred
- Basic medical terminology a plus
Responsibilities
- Component preparation, including quality control and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)
- Boxing of plasma and other products for manufacturing
- Perform and document Preventive Maintenance on all equipment used for component preparation
- Troubleshoot problems associated with component preparation or instrumentation
- Perform special procedures such as washing of units, freezing, and deglycerolization
- Contribute to review and update of Component SOP’s, training forms and records, and component worksheets and forms
- Demonstrates alignment with and adherence to the company’s core values in all interactions, decisions, and work activities; serves as a role model for fostering a positive, respectful, and ethical workplace culture
