About The Position

Acara Solutions is seeking an experienced Component Design Engineer to support turbo machinery programs with a leading company in the automotive manufacturing industry Location: Indianapolis, IN Pay: $59.00/hour Schedule: First shift Monday - Friday Hybrid Work : 3 days a week onsite Contract: 12 months Key Responsibilities Design and develop gas turbine components and subsystems, including requirements capture, trade studies, and performance optimization. Conduct mechanical, thermal, vibration, and durability analyses to ensure reliability and lifecycle integrity. Create and manage detailed design definitions—CAD models, drawings, GD&T, and tolerance stacks. Support manufacturing and supply chain activities: review supplier documentation, resolve nonconforming hardware, and manage design changes. Lead failure investigations and implement corrective design actions. Collaborate across engineering disciplines (systems, aerothermal, materials, manufacturing, testing) and present design solutions to leadership. Ensure adherence to engineering standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices. Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of Gas Turbine Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Engineering/ Aerospace Designs
