Thales is looking for a data focused Component and OEM Support Engineer to work with our Product Data and Component Obsolescence. Our focused Component Engineer will split their time between responsibility for timely monthly reporting of Thales Metrics and Obsolescence product analysis reporting. Data Analysis will be related to company monthly metric support: This will require the manipulation of existing Excel reports and creation of new reports used by Engineers and Management monthly. Success will rely on a solid background in Macro creation and use as well as data analysis with an emphasis on telling the correct story for product removals. Attention to detail and accuracy are of prime importance in all presentations created. The position may require leading/monitoring of other on-site/remote team members supporting this activity, as well as presenting to leadership as requested. Training regarding the current data collection and manipulation within excel programs (and others) will be provided. In this position, you will also research and provide resolution for obsolete components. The task relies heavily on a solid electrical component understanding, good organization skills, and solid reasoning skills. The position will require presenting tactical solution summaries to various internal and external customers when required. You will work to coordinate with the Product Engineer, and other disciplines as well and you will both lead and attend meetings to remain current on all component and product topics.
