About The Position

The Compliance Specialist in Healthcare will support the management and oversight of policies, forms, and contracts across multiple healthcare affiliates. This role is essential for maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and ensuring consistent documentation management. The specialist will focus on minimizing risk and promoting standardized workflows across the organization, contributing to the overall effectiveness and compliance of healthcare services

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in healthcare administration, Business, Law, or a related field. Bachelors preferred, will consider work experience in lieu of degree
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations and standards.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in document management systems and compliance software.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare compliance or a related field.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP), Certified Professional Compliance Officer (CPCO), or Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) are advantageous.
  • Association accredited course in Basic Life Support (BLS) (for clinical staff), or Heartsaver CPR AED (for nonclinical staff), and renewal on a regular basis, with up to a three-month grace period after the expiration date.
  • Experience with multi-entity governance and standardized workflows is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the lifecycle of policies, forms, and contracts across affiliates.
  • Ensure all documentation is updated in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to gather necessary input for document updates.
  • Maintain a centralized repository for all governed documents to ensure version control.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and prepare reports on findings.
  • Collaborate with legal and operational teams to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Develop and implement standardized templates for documentation management.
  • Facilitate training sessions on compliance processes and protocols.
  • Monitor changes in healthcare regulations and update documentation accordingly.
  • Track review cycles and ensure timely completion and approvals.
  • Manage stakeholder communication regarding compliance deadlines and requirements.
  • Contribute to system-wide efforts to standardize and streamline documentation processes.
  • Support migration and integration of documentation management systems.
  • Provide expertise during internal and external compliance audits.
  • Promote a culture of compliance through regular communication and education initiatives.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
