Location: Aiea, HI Status: Full-time / in office Days: TBD Pay Range: $60k–$70k (based on experience) In this Compliance, Safety, and Health Specialist role, you will:

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Compliance, Health Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare compliance, safety, or a related field
  • Working knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations and safety standards
  • Current and valid Hawaii State Driver’s License with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with ongoing testing requirements
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in healthcare compliance (CHC) or safety-related certification (e.g., OSHA, CSP)
  • Experience in a clinical laboratory or healthcare operations environment
  • Background in risk management, legal compliance, or regulatory affairs

Responsibilities

  • Compliance Management: Develop, implement, and monitor compliance programs aligned with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Conduct internal audits and investigations to identify risks and ensure adherence to regulatory standards
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance policies and regulatory updates
  • Maintain accurate compliance records and prepare reports for leadership and regulatory agencies
  • Review and update company policies to reflect current laws and industry standards
  • Ensure all required licensure and certifications remain current and compliant
  • Support legal, risk, and compliance initiatives as assigned
  • Safety & Health Management: Develop and implement safety policies, programs, and training to promote a safe work environment
  • Conduct safety audits and represent the organization during inspections and regulatory reviews
  • Monitor safety trends and generate reports to guide improvements and risk mitigation efforts
  • Partner with leadership to ensure compliance with all applicable safety laws and regulations
  • Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions
