The Compliance Specialist is primarily responsible for supporting the ongoing development and maintenance of regulatory operations for TerrAscend Corp, and its operating markets. The Compliance Specialist reports to the Director of Compliance.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Minimum of 2 years of compliance and/or related professional experience.
  • Strong understanding and practical knowledge of regulatory operations.
  • Cannabis experience (preferred, not required).
  • Good organizational and computer skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communications skills as well as the ability to multitask.
  • Must be willing to submit to and pass a comprehensive background check.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regulatory compliance audits, as assigned, to ensure conformance with regulatory requirements, and associated laws.
  • Support business units with Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development, maintenance, and implementations.
  • Support compliance training oversight and implementation, as needed.
  • Aid in the development and submittal of critical documentation to regulatory agencies.
  • Utilize the state regulatory inventory tracking systems and the company's internal management software to monitor operations including but not limited to inventory tracking and dispensing.
  • Work with business units and regulatory bodies to ensure that all required documentation is in full compliance.
  • Maintain all required compliance documentation, as assigned.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the assigned regulatory processes throughout facilities.
  • Stay up to date with changes in legislation and regulations.
