About The Position

Under general supervision, performs a full range of responsible secretarial, advanced clerical, and routine administrative work. This position will support both the Compliance and Risk Management duties as assigned by the Director of Compliance and Risk Management. Strong analytical background will be needed to advise on data-driven decisions. Assistance will be provided in the maintenance of Accreditation materials and response to Accreditation surveys as instructed by the Director of Compliance and Risk Management. This position will require the ability to update, report on, and advise on various compliance related databases. Efficient and timely reporting and collaborative work with outside parties will be essential in executing job duties. Expected to assist and advise on the continuous assessment, improvement, and maturing of the company’s compliance program framework, controls, processes, and training program.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three years of Compliance experience
  • Three or more years of administrative experience
  • High analytical skills with ability to pull and merge data from various sources and present it in an organized and professional manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and manage risks and develop appropriate internal controls.
  • Proficient knowledge of laws, regulations and standards related to healthcare compliance.
  • Ability to communicate complex information to others verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to create, maintain, and continuously refine complex workflows.
  • Perform mathematical calculations, including percentages, fractions, and decimals.
  • Proactive and a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment where you can prioritize and work simultaneously on multiple projects, while delivering a quality work product.
  • High functioning knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe.
  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the compliance program effectively prevents and/or detects violation of law, regulations, organization policies, conflict of interest, or the code of conduct.
  • Design, implement, and optimize workflows to ensure efficient, compliant, and scalable processes within the organization.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to communicate compliance performance to leadership.
  • Collect and interpret Compliance and Risk Management data to help make informed and data-driven decisions.
  • Assist in conducting internal and external audits to evaluate compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and accreditation standards.
  • Serve as liaison between Director of Compliance and Risk Management and departmental leadership as needed, and assist in communication, transmission of information, and organizing meetings.
  • Assist in responding to regulatory agency inquiries and prepare reports for management regarding compliance status.
  • Coordinating resources to ensure the effectiveness of the Compliance Program.
  • Assist in Accreditation activities including, but not limited to: Maintaining accreditation documentation, coordinating onsite surveys, alerting Management of critical deadlines; ensuring that existing policies and procedures reflect most current Accreditation standards.
  • Maintenance of company certificates of insurance including appropriate archiving.
  • Serve as liaison between Director of Compliance and Risk Management and Insurance Brokers as needed, and assist in communication, transmission of information, and organizing meetings.
  • Assist with Risk Management duties as assigned by the Director of Compliance and Risk Management.
  • Assist Director of Compliance and Risk Management with communication and resolution of any safety incidents identified in the monthly facility safety reports.
  • Assist in identifying and recommending appropriate training for staff educational programs.
  • Reporting on a regular basis to the Director of Compliance and Risk Management on compliance/Risk Management areas being overseen.
  • Ability to review, organize, and present data in a summarized and professional manner.
  • Participation in the Compliance Committee which will include reporting and providing updates on any compliance related issues being resolved.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Compliance and Risk Management.
