As a Compliance Referral Analyst with us, you will monitor changes to laws and regulations to ensure compliance with State and Federal mandates. It will be a whirlwind, but it will also be the place where you can help make the health system work better with the support and resources of a Fortune 6 leader. As you respond to inquiries, requests and actions, you'll need to be able to communicate research and data findings in a meaningful way. You will also be responsible for monitoring internal and external regulatory audits. You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
3+ years of experience working in a government, legal, health care, managed care and/or health insurance environment in a regulatory, privacy or compliance role
3+ years of experience communicating complex information via phone conversations and emails to non-technical clients, external customers, internal customers and executives
3+ years of experience working independently and researching state regulations
2+ years of experience writing investigation findings to state regulators
2+ years of experience balancing multiple competing priorities & deadlines
Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook

Responsibilities

Establish and implement standard policies, procedures processes and best practices across the company to promote compliance with applicable laws and contractual obligations
Conduct state-specific legal research and monitor changes in requirements to mitigate risks and achieve compliance
Support the collection of data for regulatory filings, coordinate and develop reports, projects and use assessment tools to verify compliance
Create regulatory reporting
Develop compliance communications and drive problem resolution for a business segment across UnitedHealth Group
