About The Position

The Compliance Product Officer (VP) for Consumer Credit Cards at Citi is responsible for overseeing compliance risk management within the Independent Compliance Risk Management (ICRM) framework. This role involves developing and implementing compliance programs, policies, and practices to ensure adherence to laws and regulations, while also providing guidance and support to various stakeholders in the organization. The officer will engage with product management teams to ensure compliance in new product development and strategic initiatives, thereby safeguarding the firm's reputation and assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in compliance, legal, or control-related functions in financial services or regulatory organizations.
  • Knowledge of compliance laws, rules, regulations, risks, and typologies.
  • Experience in credit card compliance or related areas preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and project management capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications in compliance or risk management.
  • Advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the design, development, delivery, and maintenance of compliance programs, policies, and practices for ICRM.
  • Providing guidance on rules and regulations related to operational issues and internal compliance policies.
  • Assisting with regulatory inquiries and examinations, including coordination with regulators.
  • Collaborating with internal areas such as Legal, Business Management, Operations, Technology, and Finance to address compliance issues.
  • Supporting timely compliance reviews of new products for the function/business/product.
  • Assisting in the development and administration of compliance training for the supported function/business/product.
  • Researching new reform rules and implementing necessary policies and procedures to comply with them.
  • Assessing risk in business decisions and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
