The Benefits Specialist Administer and support the company’s employee benefit programs, including health, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans. Manage benefits enrollment, changes, and terminations to ensure accuracy and timely processing. Assist with open enrollment planning, communication, and system updates. Reconcile monthly benefits invoices and payroll deductions with accounting to ensure accurate premium payments. Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding benefits questions, eligibility, and coverage details. Maintain accurate benefits records and ensure compliance with applicable benefits regulations. Compliance & Reporting Ensure compliance with the FLSA and all federal, state, and local wage-and-hour laws. Manage payroll-related compliance reporting, including: W-2 and year-end payroll reporting ACA reporting (1094/1095 forms) SUTA and state unemployment filings New hire reporting Coordinate year-end payroll verification processes, including employee data, earnings, deductions, accruals, and tax rates. Assist with internal and external payroll audits and provide supporting documentation. Process and manage Workers’ Compensation claims and assist with audit requests. Handle employment verifications in compliance with company policy and legal requirements. Systems & Coordination Collaborate with Human Resources, Accounting, and Operations to ensure accurate employee data flow and payroll updates. Maintain and organize electronic employee personnel files and payroll documentation. Assist with payroll system setup for new store locations in coordination with the payroll provider. Support payroll and benefits system updates, reporting, and troubleshooting as needed.
