About The Position

Gaming Inspectors serve as regulatory enforcement personnel for the Ysleta del Sur Pueblo Gaming Regulatory Commission. Inspectors are responsible for conducting on-site inspections, compliance monitoring, and regulatory reviews of all gaming activities to ensure adherence to the Gaming Ordinance, Commission regulations, and approved internal controls. Inspections and compliance activities are conducted independently from gaming operations and in accordance with Article 62 of the Tribal Code of Laws, the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA), and applicable National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) regulations, including Minimum Internal Control Standards (25 C.F.R. Part 543).

Requirements

• Must be an enrolled member of Ysleta del Sur Pueblo in good standing
• High school diploma or GED required
• Must possess a current Texas Driver’s License and be insurable
• Must be able to travel for required trainings
• Must meet licensing and suitability requirements under the Gaming Ordinance
• Ability to work varied shifts, including nights and weekends

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and unannounced inspections of gaming operations, facilities, equipment, and restricted areas
• Monitor compliance with rules of play, accounting controls, player pool requirements, and approved internal controls
• Verify licensing status of gaming employees, vendors, and contractors
• Document violations and prepare written inspection and incident reports for review by the Gaming Commissioner
• Assist with investigations into suspected violations of the Gaming Ordinance or Agency regulations
• Preserve evidence and support enforcement actions, including referrals to Tribal Court when necessary
• Maintain confidentiality of all investigative records and sensitive information as required by §3.020
