The Residential Advocacy and Conduct Coordinator in collaboration with manager, will participate in the development and implementation of University Residences program policies, processes, and procedures to support student wellness and success. This position provides internal communication, documentation, and interventions for students in crisis and/or participating in the conduct process. This position functionally oversees well-being follow up reports, adjudicates student conduct cases, and completes case management meetings with students of concern living in on-campus housing. Responsible for providing feedback to Residential Life staff for conduct and crisis management to reduce risk and ensure legal compliance. This position will develop reporting structures to accurately assess the number of residence hall student of concern reports, on call phone calls, incident reports, and Behavior Intervention Team cases that occur through a calendar year. Responsible for providing program assessment and possible prevention strategies to address trends. This is a collaborative position that works with internal and external partners on committees, projects, and initiatives to support individual students and the residential population as a whole.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of University Residences program policies.

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, management, education, business, or related field.
  • Two years of experience in conduct, student advocacy, student support, case management, or related field.
  • Ability to assess program effectiveness.
  • Effective rapport building and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in analyzing and resolving confidential situations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to grasp knowledge of policies and procedures related to student services.
  • Sensitivity to cultural, political, and geographical differences.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality around complex issues.
  • Knowledge of college-student development issues.
  • Ability to analyze and report on compiled data.
  • Ability to present and train over guidelines and policies.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
  • Flexibility in work assignments and work hours.
  • Master's degree in higher education, counseling, student affairs or related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of conflict mediation, crisis management, Title IX, Clery and ADA compliance requirements.
