Your role in our mission involves participating in all phases of systems design, development, and implementation as well as the ongoing System Operations and Fiscal Agent Operations. The Compliance Manager provides proactive analysis and options for system and operations changes to implement regulatory authority from CMS. This role includes contacting clients when CMS rules are released, organizing meetings to present the rules, and proposing solutions to implement them. The Compliance Manager will also assist clients in preparing Fiscal Notes to proposed State legislation and will be dedicated to the new core MMIS and supporting services project full time.

Requirements

  • At least five (5) years of experience in Compliance management, preferably within the health care industry.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of industry standards and best practices regarding large scale and enterprise level projects.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in performing similar services on complex systems based on modern technology or operational systems.
  • Extensive experience in technical writing.
  • Preferred experience in health care related concepts.
  • Strong executive presentation skills and ability to communicate ideas clearly.
  • Ability to influence and motivate stakeholders to action.

Responsibilities

  • Support and guide assigned business units/lines of service in developing, implementing, and maintaining effective compliance programs.
  • Perform complex risk assessments of assigned programs and inform management when areas require attention.
  • Track and report complex compliance trends to management.
  • Oversee and perform compliance testing reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor changes to laws and regulations, disseminating pertinent information to ensure compliance.
  • Develop and coordinate compliance awareness programs to increase employee understanding.
  • Provide guidance to business units/groups in assessing the impact of new or amended regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance-related information systems to ensure accuracy.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced personnel.
