About The Position

The Compliance Manager plays a crucial role for distribution that involves ensuring that all distribution activities comply with legal requirements / standards, internal policies and customer requirements. This role will lead the compliance team, train staff, perform risk assessments, analyze data, manage initiatives and drive compliance throughout the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Compliance, Legal, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ year or proven experience in compliance, risk management, or distribution channel management.
  • Strong understanding of global regulatory requirements.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address compliance issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing employees, remote management experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively oversee the compliance program, monitor changes in the compliance requirements and provide guidance and risks to leadership on changes within global compliance.
  • Champion risks evaluations and mitigations related to International Trade, Customs, and Export Administration by conducting Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Denied Parties List risk analysis administrative support related to regulatory compliance and confidential legal matters.
  • Lead reviews and audit distribution processes to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, implement and maintain a compliance program to address potential compliance risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
  • Provide training, coaching and support to staff on compliance requirements, procedures, and best practices.
  • Act as the primary contact for regulatory inquiries and ensure timely resolution of compliance issues.
  • Develop and implement training programs to educate employees on compliance requirements and risks.
  • Manage and mentor Compliance Analysts team.
  • Maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and outside counsel to ensure effective resolution of compliance issues.
  • Organize and update corporate records, contracts, and other legal and or compliance documentation.
  • Indirectly responsible for product quality.
  • Other duties as assigned.
