About The Position

Cantex Continuing Care Network is a unified healthcare organization providing skilled nursing, rehabilitation, home health, hospice, pharmacy, and senior care services. As one connected network, we are committed to operating with integrity, transparency, and accountability while delivering high‑quality care. We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Compliance Intern to support our Corporate Compliance program. This hands‑on internship provides meaningful exposure to healthcare compliance, regulatory oversight, investigations, and ethics in a highly regulated healthcare environment. The intern will work closely with experienced compliance professionals and gain practical insight into how compliance supports patient safety, organizational trust, and ethical operations.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Policy, Business Administration, Compliance, Legal Studies, Public Health, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and follow through on assignments

  • Interest in healthcare compliance, ethics, government affairs, public policy, risk management, or regulatory matters preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Corporate Compliance team with day‑to‑day compliance activities, projects, and administrative support
  • Support the development, review, and organization of compliance policies, procedures, and training materials
  • Assist with compliance investigations by organizing documentation, tracking issues, and maintaining investigation files
  • Conduct research on healthcare regulations, government affairs developments, and policy guidance impacting healthcare operations
  • Support compliance education efforts, including preparing presentations, job aids, training materials, and communications
  • Assist with monitoring and tracking compliance activities such as audits, risk assessments, hotline logs, and corrective action plans
  • Help maintain compliance calendars, reports, and data tracking tools
  • Support internal communication efforts related to compliance initiatives, reminders, and awareness campaigns
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information
