The Single-Family Acquisitions Team is responsible for managing compliance and operational risk for the division. In this role, you contribute your knowledge of single-family risk management to: Conduct Risk Assessments. Evaluate effectiveness of Counterparty's Fraud and Financial Crimes risk management program. Drive key organizational objectives independently or contribute as a team member. Administer the Fraud questionnaire. Evaluate the Seller/Servicer compliance with the Freddie Mac guide. Conduct fraud risk assessments

Requirements

  • 8 - 10 years related experience in the mortgage or housing industry such as underwriting, quality control, or audit experience
  • College Degree or equivalent experience; advanced studies/degree preferred.
  • Experience with financial crimes investigations (preferred)
  • Deep understanding and experience with risk management and controls.
  • Ability to communicate and present to all levels of management including executive leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with sharp attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience assessing compliance with investor requirements (e.g., Freddie Mac guide or other industry equivalents)
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Successful in establishing strong relationships through effective dialogue and collaboration.
  • Understanding of risk management frameworks and methodology.
  • Ability to lead multiple priorities and strict deadlines.
  • Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as a team leader.
  • Communicate clearly and persuasively with senior management in written and spoken formats.
