About The Position

PanCare is growing! We are seeking an experienced Director of Compliance to lead and strengthen our corporate compliance and risk management programs. In this role, you will develop, implement, and oversee initiatives that ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures. Serving as a key advisor to executive leadership and staff, you will support the Chief Quality and Compliance Officer while fostering a culture of accountability and ethical excellence across the organization.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, HRSA requirements, and the OIG Compliance Program Guidance.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's or JD preferred.
  • Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or related certification preferred.
  • Previous FQHC experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the organization's comprehensive compliance program, including policies, procedures, audits, training, and reporting.
  • Responsible for the Corporate Compliance Plan.
  • Monitor and interpret changes in healthcare laws and regulations, including HRSA, CMS, OIG, HIPAA, and state-specific requirements, and ensure organizational compliance.
  • Oversee and lead internal investigations of potential compliance issues and coordinate corrective action plans.
  • Serve as the organization's HIPAA Privacy Officer for the organization to ensure Pancare maintains protected health information in a private manner. Proactively reviews reports for any potential and real HIPAA violations.
  • Ensure enterprise-wide risk assessments and mitigation strategies are conducted.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources, Legal, Finance, and Clinical teams to align compliance across departments.
  • Direct compliance training and education programs for staff and leadership.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to the Board of Directors, Compliance Committee, and executive leadership regarding compliance activities and risk trends.
  • Work with team as required to ensure compliance with all grant requirements, including FTCA and HRSA program expectations.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the compliance functions, including monitoring, testing and auditing compliance activities.
  • Investigate and resolve potential and real compliance violations followed by the development and implementation of corrective action plans.
  • Communicate compliance matters to the CQCO, CEO, and board of directors, if directed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance records.
  • Oversee the management of contracts, ensuring that contracts are maintained, renewed timely, BAAs and forms are complete.
  • Work with the team on FTCA applications and ensure elements for submission are collected timely throughout the year.
  • Work with other leaders in completion of the Annual Hazard Vulnerability Analysis.
  • Maintain knowledge of best practices and trends in corporate compliance and risk management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
