The Compliance Coordinator plays a crucial role within the Housing department by ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and HUD regulations. This position is responsible for communicating any instances of non-compliance and unethical findings to the Operations Director. The Compliance Coordinator will establish, implement, and follow up on corrective action plans to address any compliance issues that arise. Reporting directly to the Director, this role requires a proactive approach to compliance management and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of housing operations. In this position, the Compliance Coordinator will create annual compliance plans for assigned Housing departments, perform compliance audits of tenant and unit files across all Housing programs, and engage in self-monitoring to ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations. The role also involves maintaining compliance and self-monitoring spreadsheets, monitoring the accuracy of the Laserfiche filing system, and preparing reports on compliance findings for the program Director. Additionally, the Coordinator will identify corrective actions to resolve issues detected during audits and ensure the confidentiality of all financial records and personal identifiable information. The Compliance Coordinator will also be tasked with reviewing transactions and supporting documents to identify any unethical conduct, thereby safeguarding the integrity of the Housing department's operations. This position may involve other tasks as assigned, requiring flexibility and a willingness to adapt to the evolving needs of the department.
