About The Position

The Compliance Analyst is responsible for processing, analyzing, and routing compliance-related information to enable the effective operation of the Compliance department. This role involves collaboration across the Compliance and Legal teams and requires strong communication skills and attention to detail. The Compliance Analyst is a critical part of the Compliance team and contributes to the continuous improvement of the Company’s Compliance Management System.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and two years related experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer).

Responsibilities

  • Monitor department email inboxes and other information channels, and route and respond to communications/inquires as appropriate.
  • In collaboration with Counsel, gather information for complaint responses, audits, and regulatory examinations as required.
  • Assist Counsel with tracking and monitoring legal matters, including consumer bankruptcies, foreclosures, subpoenas, and litigation.
  • Perform research on relevant compliance requirements, including updates to applicable laws and regulations.
  • Contribute to testing, issue management, and remediation activities, as necessary.
  • Facilitate and maintain data integrity within Compliance department information systems, including its Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platform.
  • Review procedures, reports, and other information to support risk assessments, root cause analyses, and other continuous improvement activities.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
