About The Position

The Compliance Analyst for Property/Asset Management is responsible for the collection and review of an assigned portfolio of 100% initial tenant file reviews during the lease up of a property and assigning appropriate Compliance risk ratings. This role involves communicating non-compliance issues to the attention of the V.P. of Asset Management Operations for corrective actions. The analyst will analyze, summarize, and review data, accurately report findings, interpret results, and make recommendations on annual state inspections. Additionally, the analyst will pursue receipt of clearance documentation for any noted deficiencies or 8823 filings. The position also requires maintaining property files for Compliance on the Community Investments shared server and entering data into the Asset Management database. Keeping current knowledge on modifications to the various funding programs utilized for Affordable Housing properties is essential.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in business.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in multi-family real estate finance or rent-restricted multifamily asset or property management, or five to seven years' experience in the same fields.
  • Working knowledge of the LIHTC program and the IRS 8823 Guide.
  • Possess working knowledge of Tax Credit Certification from a recognized and reputable agency.
  • Proficiency in MS-Outlook and MS-Office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate complex activities, prioritize conflicting demands, and meet deadlines.
  • Keen analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, highly motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Experience working in MRI Software applications.
