About The Position

The Human Resources Compliance Analyst is responsible for overseeing government reporting and ensuring compliance with various regulations related to employee leave processes and DOT requirements. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with employees at all levels to maintain compliance and improve HR processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred
  • 2 years human resources or related field, preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge in all areas of information systems with a technical understanding of at least one commercial HRIS product, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage the reasonable accommodation process in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and Company policy.
  • Manage the data gathering, review, and submission of various annual reports including EEO-1, 4212-VETS, 804 Vendor Letters, Union Employee Letters, California Pay Data Report, etc.
  • Maintain and advance personal knowledge on relevant human resources topics.
  • Gather and prepare data on various reporting topics, as needed.
  • Collaborate with other teams across the enterprise to ensure compliance with all applicable policies.
  • Work with People Tech and ABTech teams to configure Workday and other applications to comply with changes in federal, state, or local regulations or Company policies.
  • Research regulations and provide recommendations for compliance with various state, federal and company policies.
  • Review various HR processes to ensure updated information and compliance with Company, federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Develop the Affirmative Action Plans, communicate with Recruiting and monitor progress.
  • Assist with testing Workday's capabilities and communicate as needed when functionality does/does not meet desired outcomes.
  • Perform various tasks within Workday; calculate vacation pro-rates, update time-off service dates, zero/payout time off balances, etc.
  • Assist with the evaluation of Company and subsidiary FMLA and ADA compliance performance.
  • Collaborate with the Benefits team, employees, and Company leadership to ensure accurate and timely communication regarding leaves of absence and other related requests.
  • Manage the administration of non-exempt FMLA, CFRA, military leave, state leaves, furloughs, parental leave, and personal leave of absence processes: prepare documentation, advise employees and managers, and track leave status.
  • Track and analyze reasonable accommodation requests, identify patterns, and make recommendations to improve the Company's reasonable accommodation process.
  • Review reasonable accommodation request paperwork and collaborate with Corporate Facilities, Purchasing, Employee Relations, Risk Management, leadership, in-house counsel, and the employee to determine the appropriate course of action.
  • Manage special projects by preparing and maintaining project plans, addressing project challenges, and ensuring project tasks are completed.
  • Review medical documentation on DOT employees to ensure compliance with the DOT regulations and collaborate with Employee Relations if removal from the random pool is required.
  • Provide support including researching and resolving problems with the HRIS system to enhance or expedite processes in Workday.
  • Manage the administration of the drug/alcohol and DOT physical recertification processes.
  • Manage the Designated Employer Representative (DER) responsibilities to ensure compliance with the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Design and draft correspondence, presentations, and training information on various topics.
  • Recommend new or improved systems to enhance or expedite HR processes.
