About The Position
As a Complex Claims Specialist at Berkley Agribusiness, you will play a pivotal role in managing the company's most intricate and high-exposure liability claims. This position requires a blend of strong analytical skills, investigative prowess, and effective communication to ensure that claims are handled efficiently from intake to final disposition. You will be responsible for conducting thorough coverage analysis, evaluating claims, and making fact-based decisions that align with the best interests of our clients and the company. Your expertise will be essential in negotiating settlements and managing litigation processes, ensuring that loss costs are effectively controlled while maintaining a high standard of customer service. In this role, you will be expected to conduct prompt evaluations and reserving of claims, leveraging your negotiation skills to manage claim expenses and set strategic directions for each case. You will also be tasked with re-evaluating exposures and reserves throughout the life of the claim, ensuring that all data is accurately entered into the relevant business systems for reporting purposes. Collaboration with claims management will be crucial, as you will need to inform and strategize on large loss and reinsurance reports, providing technical advice and guidance to claims staff through effective coaching and mentoring. Your participation in pre-trial discussions and audits will help assure compliance with company policies and procedures, while also contributing to special projects aimed at enhancing organizational performance. This position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing for flexibility in your work environment, and is open to fully remote candidates residing within the designated territory.
