About The Position

The position involves ensuring that the hotel is in great working order and meets all operational standards related to the Engineering Department. Responsibilities include conducting walk-throughs and assessments of maintenance and operation of the hotel structure, systems, and equipment. The role also entails managing the Rooms and Public Area Preventive Maintenance Program and keeping updated records. The individual will work closely with the hotel management team and the property General Manager. Additionally, the position requires hiring, training, supervising, coaching, and counseling associates, including managers. The candidate will ensure that the grounds are maintained to provide a great arrival experience and implement the hotel's safety and emergency policies and procedures, including the removal of safety hazards and adherence to OSHA Hazcom program and safe lifting techniques. The salary for this position ranges from $100k to $110k plus bonus.

Requirements

  • Previous hotel engineering experience required, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial kitchen, and general building construction.
  • Vocational training, associate's degree, certification and/or apprenticeship in one or more areas; state certification or licensure where required.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Strong business communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Enjoy working as part of a team that provides great experiences for guests.
