About The Position

The Chief Engineer at Hilton Garden Inn Bel Air is responsible for managing the functionality and safety of the facility, which includes overseeing the physical building(s), mechanical equipment, electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, and life safety systems in accordance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations. This role involves assigning work, supervising staff, and verifying and documenting the completion of all routine maintenance and repairs in the property maintenance management system. The Chief Engineer will also direct outside contractors, communicate with city officials, and inspect the quality of work performed by staff. Additionally, this position requires responding to guest calls and coordinating responses to emergency situations. The Chief Engineer will interview, train, supervise, counsel, schedule, and evaluate staff.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in facility management.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and city officials.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to facility management.
