About The Position

A Complex Business Travel Sales Manager is responsible for managing accounts, achieving revenue goals, and enhancing guest satisfaction through effective & aggressive sales strategies and relationship management. This role is crucial for driving sales and enhancing customer experiences in the business travel sector, ensuring that the organization meets its revenue goals while providing exceptional service to clients. Requirements

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field is typically required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the travel or hospitality industry.
  • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, exceptional negotiation abilities, and proficiency in CRM software, preferably Salesforce Delphi FDC and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • BI Tools: Knowledge of TravelClick Agency360 (A360) or similar market intelligence platforms strongly preferred.
  • Sit, stand and walk for varying lengths of time
  • Lift approximately ten (10) pounds
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, listening and hearing ability and visual ability
  • Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, multi-line phone, filing cabinets, photocopiers and other office equipment as needed

Responsibilities

  • Account Management: Manage existing accounts and develop new business opportunities to achieve revenue targets.
  • Sales Strategy Development:
  • Create and implement sales strategies to maximize business travel revenue and market share.
  • Conduct regular account reviews and production analyses to identify growth opportunities or reposition underperforming accounts.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present sales reports and forecasts to senior management, highlighting performance metrics and areas for improvement.
  • Multi-Property Responsibility:
  • Drive qualified business travel production across all hotels within the complex, balancing account production to optimize total portfolio performance.
  • Collaborate with property sales leaders and revenue management to align strategies across all hotels.
  • New Business Development:
  • Proactively prospect and secure new local, regional, and national business travel accounts.
  • Develop targeted action plans to penetrate top local and regional corporate accounts.
  • Conduct consistent outside sales calls, site visits, and client presentations.
