Competitive Team Gymnastics Coach
About The Position
Optional, Xcel, and/or Compulsory Team Coaches - Are you passionate about helping athletes build lifelong confidence through movement? We’re looking for enthusiastic leaders to join our squad! Arizona Sunrays offers a variety of high-quality programs to our community as well as to empower individuals through fun and fitness. We provide instruction in gymnastics, dance, NinjaZone, camps and more for ages 6 months through adults. We love inspiring children to find the joy of movement and partnering with local business, schools, and neighborhood groups to bring our community closer. We are families serving families! Requirements
- 3+ years of coaching experience (you know your way around the gym… without tripping over mats!)
- A genuine love for working with kids and a passion for coaching.
- A positive, "can-do" team player who brings the energy every single day.
- Strong communication skills to connect with our amazing Sunrays families and team.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to maintain a consistent schedule (our kids count on you!).
- Ability to spot athletes and move equipment (must be able to lift/push/pull at least 50 lbs).
- Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, and climb to navigate the gym and keep our athletes safe!
Responsibilities
- Provide the instruction, corrections, and motivation that help students shine.
- Develop skills and technique knowledge across gymnastics, preschool, and ninja programs.
- Learn and follow USAG and Arizona Sunrays guidelines to keep the fun safe.
- Build meaningful, positive relationships with students, parents, and your fellow coaches.
- Keep track of the magic with attendance and skill progress records.
