About The Position

The Competitive Assessment Manager at Northrop Grumman is responsible for providing market and competitor insights to support the Defense System sector. This role involves both tactical and strategic analysis, partnering with various teams to understand competitor tactics and develop market strategies. The position requires delivering actionable insights for bid decisions and investment planning, while also managing a small team of analysts and external consultants.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience or Master's Degree with 8 years of relevant experience.
  • At least 5 years of DOD, Government contracting experience.
  • At least 5 years of BD/Capture/Program Management experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance.
  • Direct experience with Competitive Intelligence and Price to Win process.
  • Knowledge of federal pricing regulations and compliance issues (FAR, CAS, TINA, etc.).
  • Strong organizational, verbal, written, analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience working with companies in Strategy and Planning Pricing, Estimating Market Research and Competitive Analysis.
  • Experience in Aerospace Defense domains such as C4ISR, IAMD, Command and Control (C2), and Weapons Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver deep, actionable insights and make recommendations related to competitor assessments, market analysis, and industry assessments.
  • Monitor, analyze, and disseminate industry trends, competitive landscape, and macroeconomic changes.
  • Utilize primary and secondary research methods to compile and analyze relevant data.
  • Mature and optimize the research process for CAPTW using advanced tools.
  • Manage, mentor, and train a small team of Competitor Assessment analysts.
  • Develop and grow a bench of external consultants to support bids and intel collection.
  • Support cost proposal development by providing key cost assumptions and competitor ghosting.
