About The Position

The Compensation Senior Analyst supports the compensation function in the design, implementation, and ongoing management of general or specific compensation programs, systems, and initiatives. The Compensation Senior Analyst will mainly focus on providing operational support by managing compensation systems, reporting, and tools. The role will act as subject matter expert (“SME”) across data and reporting needs, project manager for annual compensation processes, supporting and guiding the Compensation team and various other stakeholders to ensure timely & accurate completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in HR, preferably in a Compensation or HR Analytics or HR Systems role.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience managing systems, processes and/or projects.
  • High proficiency with HR systems and MS Office Excel including knowledge of pivot tables, formulas and functions required.

  • Comprehensive compensation experience in the design and implementation of compensation programs.
  • Strong working knowledge of broad-based compensation topics such as market pricing, salary structure design and development, job evaluation, and analysis, preferably in a financial services environment.

  • Strong mathematical aptitude, analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, accuracy & confidentiality.

  • Previous experience with JDXpert Job Repository tool preferred.
  • Certified Compensation Profession (CCP) designation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • HR compensation systems, audits, reporting and data integrity:
  • Collaborates with HR Services team on systems workflow, integration, support, UAT testing, analyses and report writing.
  • Makes cohesive recommendations to drive process improvements in order to advance compensation reporting, analyses, workflows and program delivery.
  • Design, develop, implement and maintain consolidated analysis and reporting across region, businesses, divisions, etc.
  • Partner with Finance on forecasting, analyizing, reporting and modeling employee related data; including accrual analysis of annual incentives.
  • Create and deliver training material for HR and Managers to educate them on compensation systems.
  • Annual Programs & Initiatives:
  • Supports & guide the Compensation team on enterprise-wide initiatives, development of tools, reports, risk assessments and reporting, and processes, such as facilitating the annual review process, compensation survey participation, salary structure development and general maintenance job data integrity.
  • Leads the HR system preparation for the annual review process including configuration, testing, validation, documentation to ensure tool is ready for users.
  • Leads the annual process for the team to participate in compensation surveys to collect and analyze competitive salary information, leveraging market pricing tool.
  • Formulates recommendations regarding development of company salary structure and geographical differential analysis.
  • Participate on projects related to compensation programs or systems, such as custom market studies, incentive proposals, FLSA reviews etc.
  • Support Compensation Consultants:
  • Supports the Compensation team in the day-to-day compensation activities such as job documentation, job evaluation, pay administration, adhoc requests and projects.
  • Audits jobs to ensure compliance with FLSA and other federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations.
  • May be assigned a small client group, either as back-up or lead to advise client groups and HR staff on a full range of compensation related programs.
  • Will support the overall team's success in any capacity as back-up when needed.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory requirements regarding colleague pay while staying up to date on current related legislation.
  • Develop and maintain understanding of compensation practices and trends in the financial services industry.
