About The Position

The Compensation Partner will collaborate with HR partners and managers to provide subject matter expertise in the planning, development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs that attract, retain, and reward top talent, and facilitate the growth of the organization. The role will conduct market analyses, create and update job descriptions, manage compensation programs, conduct pay equity reviews, interpret policies and regulatory requirements, ensure data integrity through audits, and educate team members and managers. The Compensation Partner ensures compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required.
  • 5+ years’ progressive experience required in designing, administering, and maintaining various aspects of compensation programs required.
  • Experience with the design, implementation and communications of compensation programs required.
  • Experience with HRIS configurations and business processes required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of compensation programs and strategies
  • Business acumen with an understanding of the impact of how compensation strategy impacts other human resources activities and business strategy
  • Strong knowledge and experience with FLSA and other state and federal laws and regulations regarding wage and hour
  • Highly proficient in spreadsheets (i.e. Excel) and presentation (i.e. PowerPoint) software
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills necessary to communicate with and influence all levels of management.
  • Presentation skills necessary to facilitate training and/or deliver informational sessions to groups and/or individuals.
  • Time management and organizational skills necessary to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Ability to anticipate and identify problems and use sound judgment and fact-based analysis to develop effective and efficient solutions.
  • Strong data analysis skills and the ability to analyze and maintain compensation pay programs and structures.
  • Ability to navigate changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing, launching and maintaining job frameworks strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Workday strongly preferred.
  • CCP and/or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
  • Experience with Sales Compensation preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, administers, and advises on base salary, incentive, merit pay programs, annual compensation planning, benchmarking, and market pricing activities to ensure that the compensation infrastructure remains competitive and compliant.
  • Provides consultation and advice to management and human resources on pay issues and compensation policies and practices (e.g., fair labor standards adherence, pay equity review, or general compensation policy interpretation).
  • Evaluates new and existing job descriptions against current job architecture, internal and external pay and exemption classification.
  • Recommends appropriate actions based on research and analysis of market, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, and current positions.
  • Provides guidance and hands on support to management and human resources in writing job descriptions.
  • Identifies benchmark job matches and participates in salary surveys.
  • Analyzes and effectively interprets salary survey and other relevant market data, and makes recommendations for market adjustments, job architecture, and salary structures..
  • Administers variable-pay programs, including short-term incentives and sales bonus plans, ensuring that payout calculations are accurate, timely, and compliant with program guidelines.
  • Conducts the annual review of various pay programs to ensure equitable pay practices, internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance.
  • Conducts data audits and ensures data integrity.
  • Makes suggestions for process improvements.
  • Develops and delivers presentations, training and communication materials to management and the human resources team on current and new compensation programs.
  • Participates in total rewards projects and initiatives from inception to implementation, continually monitoring for success and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Creates, edits and adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process improvements.
  • Performs ad-hoc and cross-functional duties and/or projects, as assigned, to support business needs and provide developmental opportunities.
