About The Position

Avecia's Compensation Manager is responsible for designing fair and effective compensation and rewards policies and practices that adhere to all relevant legislation. They lead and manage annual processes related to compensation planning and bonus administration. Additionally, they collaborate across the HR team to drive consistency in our job architecture, compensation philosophy, and incentive programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required
  • Minimum of 7-10 years relevant experience
  • Experience with SAP Success Factors
  • Understanding of Korn Ferry Hay Grade job evaluation model
  • Familiarity with salary benchmarking resources like Radford
  • Deep knowledge of compensation design, market analysis, and job architecture
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex compensation data and communicate actionable insights
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels within the organization

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry preferred
  • HR certifications desirable

Responsibilities

  • Lead the creation and implementation of a unified job architecture. Align leveling and career frameworks across the business to support workforce scaling and organizational clarity
  • Design and operationalize salary structures. Utilize data-driven insights and Radford/Aon methodology to ensure competitive positioning in disparate and hyper-competitive pharmaceutical talent markets
  • Own the end-to-end engineering of Incentive Programs. This includes the design, financial modeling, and communication strategy for Company Bonus and Sales Incentive Plans (in partnership with Business Development)
  • Conduct ongoing salary market analysis and recommending salaries for offers, promotions, and general administrative adjustments as necessary
  • Prepare reports and documentation in support of the bi-annual promotion review process
  • Oversee annual performance review, merit planning and bonus payout processes
  • Manage HR compensation and performance modules (Success Factors) in support of annual processes
  • Collaborate with HR and business leaders to provide expert guidance on compensation strategies aligned with Madrigal’s talent and business objectives
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to HR leadership, providing data-driven insights to support organizational decisions on pay structures, promotions, and workforce planning
  • Ensure all compensation programs comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal governance standards
  • Partner with the HR Business Partner community to educate managers and employees on compensation principles, helping build understanding and trust around our pay practices
